The Christmas Story!

'More to it than meets the Eye?

After the wise men departed, an angel told Mary and Joseph to flee to Egypt with the Child, meanwhile King Herod felt that he was tricked by the Magi and ordered the genocide of all children from babes to two years old!

We don't here much about these historical facts today and people are quick anyway to even forget Holocaust in our current history?

Jesus birth coincides with the Roman census a governmental way of gathering essential data on the  population, something that has been continued to this day!

The who story of Christmas in these few New Testament Gospels covers a three year period and this would occur again, when the ministry of Jesus would happen up to that of the cross and His resurrection from the dead!

We hope that you will have a happy and peaceful Christmas season and not limit oneself to one tradition? For others this may be a time to seek God and find His forgiveness of Sins in and through Jesus?

Amos 5:4,   Matthew/Levi 2:12-15,   16-18,   19-23,    John 3:3-7,   15-16,    Acts 4:12,    Romans 3:21-31.

CHRISTMAS. Part-One.

A Star.

There are two things when people think about a star, its a celeb or one that is seen in the night sky?

God chose a disturbed man to make the most amazing and prolific statement in the Bible about a certain star that was to rise over Jacob.

That same star was followed by the Magi to find the baby Jesus and that same star today is still shinning in the hearts of millions who believe and live in Him daily.

So my friend let me ask you, 'Where is that Star with you this season?

Preparing for Christmas.

Care and Concern.

Christmas is perhaps the biggest holiday season in the world, it comes but once a year and lasts for about one month. This depends on which tradition you belong to, but most of this season today is more about things than the central message.

Jesus came into our world by two miracles, one He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus was not born in a palace as the wise men or Magi thought, searching for the New Born King. Jesus was born in a dirty stable and laid in an animal feeder.

There is a big difference between being a traditional Christian and a Born-Again or Converted believer. We may be preparing our food, drinks and presents, and everything else such as presents, decorations and the tree.

But Jesus warns us that we need always to be looking out for others, who are in need!

Crib n Cross. Part-One.

Star of Jacob.

Do you ever bother to look up at the night sky and ponder the stars, along time ago the wisemen of three great world powers looked up nightly waiting for that event.

The prophet Daniel, the guy put in with the lions he was the one who trained the Magi and they kept to his words.
Daniel 6:7, 12.

It is strage how God intervenes in peoples lives?

There was mad Baalim, you know the one who heard his donkey talking to him. He was given this prophecy and that is why the wisemen came to see Jesus.
Numbers 24:17,  Matthew 2:2.

What will you be doing this Christmas, drinking, stuffing yourself, music and sex or perhaps its time to let Him who knocks the door of your heart IN.
Luke 11:9, Revelation 3:20.

Wrapped. Part-Three.

Wisemen.

We all like to give and recieve presents at this time of the year, that is if belong to the Christian tradition in one form or another. We see that the Magi came from the east to give gifts to the Jesus, but they really came to worship Him.

They had waited a long time for this day, thousands of years for the star of promise to appear in the sky's. So they all got wrapped up and set off to see the Messiah and the savior of the world. Matthew 2:1-18,  Numbers 24:17.

What will you be doing with yourself this 'Christmas, home with family, parents, someone close or are you all alone, out of choice or feel rejected?

Don't be mean try to see what's it all about for yourself!
John 6:29.
