The cost of Faith?

STEPHEN, Not the first and not the Last!

Everyday around this ball we live on Christians are being murdered for their speech of truth, that wicked and blind people do not want to hear?

We believers represent Christ on Earth, when we are attacked, abused and beaten, it is not us but Jesus and our reward is in Heaven safe and secure from filth drenched humanity and all their ideals and concepts that are complete foolishness to our Father God!

Acts 6:5-7:59,  8:2, 22:20, Revelation 6:9-11.

We would like to hope that all who read this blog will have a happier New Year 2021!

Please be aware that these vaccines are not a cure, but more of a guard to the current Coronavirus and unfortunately other things are coming our way in the next ten years or so that may be far worse?

Persecution!

The cost of being a Christian?

We tend to think of Stephen the first martyr of the Church which is mentioned in Acts 6:8-7:60, but we forget that the baby Jesus with His Earthly parents to had to take off in the middle of the night!

An Angels warned the wise men to return another way, while also telling Joseph to go down to Egypt until Herod's term was ended!

So we can see many pictures about human life from the Christmas story and that we will be persecuted and attacked for our simple faith in the death, resurrection and return of Jesus our Lord and Saviour!

Knives! Three.

No one cares?

Parents care, families care, loosing your child and a loved one!

But the police don't care about how many will be murdered on the streets of the world nations? Today Prince Harry marked and spoke for the father of Stephen Lawrence a young man butchered by a white racist gang twenty-five years ago in SE-London!

But most of us know that the British police force remains riddled with racism and the legal system with Institutional racism! We are seeing this now with the immigration issues of British Caribbean citizenship and the Windrush children!

PM Mrs May and Amber Rudd when in the Home-office implemented their anti-black policies believing and still do that they will get off with it?

God cares for people, because He sent us His one and only son Jesus who was staved to a wooden tree on false allegations! But it was all done for us who have seen are state, confessed our failures and are re-assured of being forgiven!

A bed of Roses?

Stephen and being a Believer!

The traditional image of the Christian Church is of it being easy, like a bed of roses?

But to be a born-again believer is only for the tough and its great to know that God chooses us for His service!

Weak things are strength, while those who appear to be strong are really the weaklings!

Stephen was a man who spoke the truth to a libertine world of his day and they could not cope with him so they did the same as with Jesus a year earlier.

So they set him up and had him stoned to death, but he was tougher because he forgave them and asked God that this not be held against them!

Acts 7:51-60,  2 Corinthians 12:10,  Hebrews 4:12.

No:1 Target.

Stephen.

The first Christian to be martyred, Stephen was picked out by liberal minded men and this is a serious warning to every believer. These men were not able to prove Stephen wrong, so they had no excuses to justify their own sin.

We must be careful when sharing our faith not to button hole or push people and to pull back. But Stephen was only telling them the truth and it cost him his life.

They set him up, just like the religious men set up Jesus. So please don't think that being a Christian is about being a do gooder and it is an easy ride?

Matthew 26:59-61,  Acts 6:9-15.

Stephen...

The first Christian Martyr.

Stephen was not killed by religious men, he was killed by Liberals. Today we might call them ''do gooders, the ones who fight for our rights.'

Stephen was not killed because he had faith in God, he was killed because he spoke the truth.

Even good people do not like to hear the truth, because the truth is they are doing things in their own strength and for their reputation.

We all have something to hide, maybe we are really timid and weak. We pretend to be tough, to stay in the pack.

But you cannot go on as you are, that is why Jesus came to set us free from the darkness that we are comfortable and ignorant in!

Acts 6:5-8:3,  John 3:20-21,  8;12,  2 Timothy 1:7,  Revelation 21:8.
