Pentecost!

 Our Empowerment?

it is there for us to use, if we need it to share our faith to do some work that will help others and lift up the body of the Ekklesia for the glory of God?

Even the small things are powerful weapons in our fight with Satan and His host, making the tea, welcoming strangers as well as believers at the door, putting out the hymn books, newsletters and even cleaning the Church?

There are many things we can do as believers, at school, work, retirement and travelling! Talking to people, even saying hi and bye might be enough to save a life in crises?

Romans 12:6,  1 Corinthians 12:4,  28,  2 Timothy 2:1,  Hebrews 2:4.

A British Royal Wedding!

Fire, Love, Vows?

Its a time for change in the British Royal family and may it continue over colour and religions, but may these marriages last the trial of life?

Saturday 19th May was Pentecost and the theme was Love and Fire, accompanied by the vows of promises to each other and to God!

Love is something that is much said in our world today, but many of us who have come from broken homes and witnessing domestic violence know how much it was lacking from mum and dad?

But because Jesus found us, He has given us the fullness of His Love in accepting us and yet He was rejected by all at the Cross/stake/tree!

Matthew 18:18,  19:5-6,   Acts 2:3,  Ephesians 4:13,  1 John 3:18,  4:8,   Genesis 2:24,   Numbers 6:21.

Ascension and Pentecost!

Leaving, Holy Spirit and promised Return.

The Disciples were privileged to see Jesus their risen Lord return to Heaven, ten days later they received the Holy Spirit in the Temple of Jerusalem, Roman occupied Israel!

This time the Holy Spirit was given to all believers and there were many more from all over the known world that day of Shavout, Jews from the very east, south and west.

Today believers live in that same empowerment to reach out to the dying, decaying world around us! But we are also waiting the return of Jesus, who every eye will see when the sky is torn apart!

We have no time or date for His promised return, but we have been told not to be found naked and be alert for He will come like a thief in the Night!

Acts 1:6-11,  2:3,  19:6,  Exodus 23:16,  Matthew 25:36-44.   2 Peter 3:10,  Revelation 3:3, 16:5.

PENTECOST!

For Believers Only!

This is the truth, it is only we who know that Jesus has forgiven and forgotten our past sins are given this power of the Holy Spirit to comfort and help us walk with God!

The world can claim many things, as it does along with its false teachers even in the Christian Churches? They push homosexuality today, while they hide their paedophilia? Dishonesty, theft, and the breaking of many rights for their own financial gains all done in the name of God!

But we are beyond that, by choice and because of what Jesus has done for us we desire now to please Him and see others come to the truth that we know!

Isaiah 53:12,  Luke 16:15,  John 16:7,  Acts chapter 2,  Romans 8:34,  Ephesians 3:14-19.

Pentecost. Part-Two.

The beginning of the End.

It was that former fisherman Peter, now and Apostle that reveals to us that the fulfilment of the Prophecy concerning the pouring out of the Holy Spirit, was also warning of the approaching end.

For us who believe in Jesus by faith, after repenting of our sins, will have no fear of knowing that Jesus is coming back for us and to take us up to heaven.

But for the dead world full of its empty sparkle and things will see a different events of changes in the skies that will strike fear and terror!

Acts 2:17-21,  19-20,  Joel 2:28-32,  Matthew 24:29,  Romans 4:5-8, Revelation 6:12-17.

Pentecost. Part-One.

Holy Spirit given to all Believers.

Prior to this event the Holy Spirit was only given to certain believers so that they would be enabled to do the will of God. Now all believers from this point on would receive the Holy Spirit, because they had to be empowered to serve.

Many Christians today make the slight mistake of asking Jesus for more of the Holy Spirit and for the gifts, that they already possess and refuse to use.

Everyone outside the born-again/converted experience cannot receive this power, it is only for us.

Acts 1:8, 2:33, 1 Thessalonians 1:6, Hebrews 3:7.
