Day two! Part-One.

Day One death, day three Resurrection!

These are generally the two emphasis points of the Easter story, but day two is the one that is over looked and yet it is essential to understand all three together, because without it many believers today are missing the points later on in the New Testament teaching?

Jesus birth, death and resurrection are key to understanding why He had to die, fulfilling the Jewish Laws for us as the final sacrifice for sin and His rising allows us to enter into the promises of Eternal Life, but we are now in the New Life!

Much of the work of Jesus was done in the grave of reconciling Jews and Gentiles of gathering the captives in His train and all the while the world was trying to undermine these events with lies to dispute the truth, which it continues to do to this day!

Isaiah 26:19,   60:1,   61:1,   Luke 4:18,   John 5:25,   12:46,   Ephesians 5:14,   Colossians 1:13.

Preparations for EASTER?

The pivotal key of history to Salvation by FAITH.

One has to wonder how many Churches today still emphasise the cross and the death and resurrection of Jesus as the final atonement for our sins and our Salvation?

Or have they adopted new tact in playing on eggs and bunny rabbits to water down the truth, because of fear of upsetting others in the world who have no concern for Christianity?

Every nation and tradition will mark this time on differing dates, due to their respective calendars, but the message will still focus on Jesus!

Meanwhile what are we doing, many will have to work through it, while others can take the opportunity to share their faith and see other lives changed for the better!

Mark 8:34,   Luke 23:26,   John 19:17-31,   1 Corinthians 1:18,    Galatians 6:14,   Colossians 1:20,  Hebrews 12:2.

A mothers Love?

Appreciation!

The end of this month sees another celebration of our mothers, despite the traditions and requirements of this day? We tend to forget that our mothers mostly tried to do and do continue to do the best for us?

But it us who have to return that love in our responsibility and actions is helping our parents if we can? Cleaning, caring, shopping, taking them out and returning that love which will build our relationships!

Jesus too had a mother who loved Him, she may have not full understood Him, until after the events cared? But she stayed the road with the believers who followed Him well into the establishment of the early Church!

Genesis 2:24,  3:20,   Matthew/Levi 1:18,   2:11,   Mark 7:7-11,   Acts 1:14,  Ephesians 6:2.

Domestic Abuse! Part-Two.

Breakdown, but not Breakup?

All relationships will have periods of stress and friction, since we are all sinners and fall all the time! Marriages are built on vows to God and promises to each other, that couples should take seriously and stop emphasising themselves and what they want!

We can have a breakdown in a relationship, but it does not mean the end even when their is violence? Because some violence can be treated and stopped, especially by good friends around us who can intervene and advise?

In other cases things just get worse and couples have to split apart, in these case one side may face time in prison for their foolish actions? There are so many combination of factors at play in the human psyche proving that we are much more intelligent than any of the other creatures around us!

Deuteronomy 24:1,  Ecclesiastes 5:4-5,  Matthew 5:31,  Mark 10:4,   Hebrews 6:13-17.
