EASTER!

 Its all about Jesus?

Let us get away from the madness of the world and focus more on celebrating Easter and the real messages that is has for us who are saved and for those who need to be saved!

God loved us His creation so that is why He gave to us His one and only son, but this was also first a promise to Israel that the Messiah would return to save His people?

But they misunderstood what the message was of thinking Yeshua was to end Roman rule over them some two thousand years ago and they would be a nation again, but He was coming to them as the suffering Savior to redeem and atone all who believed for Eternity!

Today the door is open for the gentiles to enter into this rest, but they too have found all sorts of excuses to get out of this invitation and eternity for many will be one of regret?

Psalm 51:1-5, Isaiah 53:1-12, Romans 3:21-31, 2 Corinthians 2:14-16, Hebrews 2:15-18, 4:12-13, 9:26-27, 10:10, 15, Jude 1:6-7, Revelation 3:20.

A staggered Season!

 Easter-Pesach-Easter.

This is a year when Western Easter does not par with the Jewish Passover and the Eastern Church is further on still in the calendar?

So many will have the opportunity to come to faith and not many excuses since they will prove to others by their actions that they are liars and there is no truth in them!

But we must be patient in not forcing what we believe on to others, say what we can and leave it at that, knowing really that God is in control and they are free to choose their destiny?

Amos 5:4, John 3:3, 14-21, Acts 4:26, Romans 3:23, 6:23, Hebrews 9:26-27, 10:10, 18, 1 John 1:8, Revelation 3:20.

Veritas!

 Truth?

Easter is once more just a week away, when many will be coming to Church for one reason or another?

We have a great opportunity to share Jesus with them or to invite that hard in the community and discover he or her are future pastors and/or missionaries!

Is not God lovely that He can take the Sh1t like we once were and make us into His own New people, if He has done this for us what can He do and keep doing for others, loved ones, family, enemies, friends, work mates etc?

Genesis 42:21, 1 Kings 17:24, Psalm 15:2, Proverbs 12:17, John 4:24, Romans 2:8.

The Easter Impact! Two.

 The rolling Stone?

The grave could not hold Jesus the Son of God and as He promised He would be raised on the third day from the grave, those who followed Him came to the garden and saw that mighty stone had been rolled away!

Matthew/Levi 28:2,  Mark 15:46, 16:4. Luke 24:2, John 20:1.

The question to be asked is do we too have a stone that covers our hearts, when it comes to God and Jesus?

A stone that can only really be moved by God, if would but turn to Him and believe we would be a New person and He would give to us a New Heart and a New Life?

Ezekiel 11:19,  36:26.

The Easter Impact! One.

 Remembering?

Easter has had the largest impact on the world, since Christmas, but now we come to a time where all must be fulfilled in the life and death of Jesus, the healer, preacher and the compassionate man!

The cross/stake/tree awaits Him, but before these last hours Jesus sat down with His fellow Jews and celebrated the Passover meal of the deliverance of Israel from the Egyptian slavery and in that meal He did something new that today we may take for granted the communion or the Lords table?

Jesus broke bread and shared the wine goblet with His friends and a traitor, 'Take this is my body broken for you, take this is my blood shed for you?

Will you accept Him this Easter season or perhaps you will make petty excuses to not want to be invited to the marriage supper?

Matthew/Levi 26:26,  Mark 14:22,  Luke 14:16-24,  22:19,  1 Corinthians 11:25-27.

Tuesday, 7 April 2020

EASTER is not Off?

A blessed Easter to all of You!

The world may think that much has to be cancelled, while others make false promises claiming they are trying to bring hope to the masses?

The Gospel message of Easter is still the same Jesus died on the cross/stake/tree for our sins and rose on the third day from the grave to promise us entry into Eternal life with Him and our Father!

Matthew/Levi 16:21,  Luke 18:33,  1 Corinthians 15:4.

Unfortunately we must heed the warning that all now people going to Church who claim they are not what they seem! We cannot be saved by Attendance, Baptism, owning a Bible, being brought up in Christian home or missing out repentance by saying we have nothing to repent of?

Amos 5:4,  Matthew/Levi 7:7-8,  John 3:3, 14-18,  31-36,  Acts 4:12,  Romans 3:21-31,  Revelation 3:19-20.

Faith in God is a personal relationship based on being Born-Again, not of the flesh but by the Holy Spirit! Faith is not a private matter, but an open matter since Jesus never did anything in secret and so we must be open to who we are you! There are exceptions, atheistic lands, Islamic and closed religious idol based systems?

Carnival Season!

Spread out more and More?

The Notting Hill Carnival is one of the largest in the world, outside that of Rio in Brazil! It draws millions of people to dance away the days on the streets, but over time because of increasing violence it has in some ways lost its flavour or atmosphere?

Today the Spirit of Notting Hill is now more pronounced in that it has spread to all the major cities and regions of the Afro-Black communities in London! What started a s a Easter religious festival in the Caribbean islands is now described by many Black Christians as a place of debauchery!

As believers we too celebrate the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus and these holidays too have been hijacked by commercialism and filth that try to degrade what we believe in! But a day is coming when we shall join that great wedding feast in Heaven and all those who refused in this life to repent or hear are message will not be at that table?

Matthew 22:2-12,  Psalm 20:5,  118:24,  Luke 15:6,  32, Revelation 19:7,  11,  17.

Preparations for EASTER?

The pivotal key of history to Salvation by FAITH.

One has to wonder how many Churches today still emphasise the cross and the death and resurrection of Jesus as the final atonement for our sins and our Salvation?

Or have they adopted new tact in playing on eggs and bunny rabbits to water down the truth, because of fear of upsetting others in the world who have no concern for Christianity?

Every nation and tradition will mark this time on differing dates, due to their respective calendars, but the message will still focus on Jesus!

Meanwhile what are we doing, many will have to work through it, while others can take the opportunity to share their faith and see other lives changed for the better!

Mark 8:34,   Luke 23:26,   John 19:17-31,   1 Corinthians 1:18,    Galatians 6:14,   Colossians 1:20,  Hebrews 12:2.

EASTER! Three.

Arisen and Seen!

There are many Church going people who enjoy celebrating Easter, but they only go half way not believing in the resurrection? They think that to accept that Jesus died for their sins is enough, but they fail to see that they cannot be fully saved without the power unleashed by God in the resurrection of Our Lord?

We cannot enter into the promised New Life, without first recognising Jesus victory over the sting of death and the setting free of the captives! These are essential to having the full assurances of knowing that we have been called and chosen by God!

We need to understand today where we stand with God and know the essential truths of these serious matters in relation to our onw individual destinies?

Psalm 14:1,  53:1,  Matthew 13:25-40,  Acts 2:31,  4:2,  Romans 1:4,  14:17,  1 Peter 1:3,  2 Peter 1:10-11.

Easter. Part-One.

He died for Me?

Easter is about the death and resurrection of Jesus, that baby that we celebrate the birth of Christmas each year! But in history there were thirty-three years between these two most pivotal moments in human history.

Jesus came to set sinners free from the grip of Satan, who has a hold on humanity since Adam fell eating the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden! But God always promised that he would send a Saviour to rescue man from his inherited condition!

For God so loved the world, that he gave for us Jesus His one and only son. John 3:16.

NEW LIFE. One.

Resurrection Victory.

Believers mark the end of Easter with the resurrection of Jesus, the light of the world.

The world that we live in is a place of darkness, controled by Satan the attractive fallen Angel!

Darkness, delusion, trickery, desception, death can be deliverd from by faith in Jesus.

Admit you failure, seek God and change your attitudes.

Acts 2:23-25,  Psalm 116:3-4,  John 12:31,  Acts 26;18,  2 Corinthians 11:14,  Ephesians 6:12.

The cost of being a Believer. TWO.

Accused and set Up.

Jesus paid the price for our sins, as he bled to death on the cross/stake/tree, men jeered Him there as they lied and made up false accusations during His trial.

Today our corrupt world still does the same, governments, police, councils and other administrative bodies. They take short cuts by piling more crimes on the guilty to cover up and get rid of their piles of paperwork?

What a price has been paid for us 2000 years ago, this Easter?

Psalm 22:7-9, Matthew 27:40, Mark 15:30, Luke 23:37-39,  John 2:19-22, 2 Corinthian 6:2.

The cost of being a Believer. ONE.

NO SHAME.

Shame today has become a twisted word, meaning not what is supposed to mean. Many people are ashamed to be called a Christian its soppy, expresses weakness.

Jesus went to the cross and took our shame on Him. He was afraid, but not ashamed.

What ever is your excuses this easter, lay them aside and trun to Jesus and find Eternity in your hearts and minds.

Acts 11:26,   26:28,  1 Peter 4:11.

Easter Approaches!

More chocolate, flowers and Cards?

Is there not something more to Easter than another holiday, fun, bunnies and eggs?

Easter is about Jesus price paid to bring us back to God, because God said that he loves His creation! God does not love our failures, so he gave us His son Jesus to do the good works of death upon the cursed tree/Cross.

This achieved the ultimate miracle of rising from the dead on the third day and removing the sting of death from all who have faith in Him.

As we have seen in recent posts, no one is forcing you to do anything? But rather to inform you that it is your choice wither you choose a New Life today with God or go on to Eternal separation for Eternity?

Psalm 86:15,   Luke 18:7-8,   Romans 2:4.

'I Am the Light. Part-Four.

Walking daily in His light!

We have now come to the end of our look at what Easter is all about and now we are looking at our conditions, where do we stand in light of all that we say we know?

If we claim that we belong to Him-Jesus, are we still walking in His light of revelation or are we going on in our own strength?

Have we made a commitment to Him or do we think we either have no sin or too many that our 'Good works might get us on some sort of points system?

I John 1:5-10.

Ascension.

Going Home.

For some Christians Easter is the end of the bible story, Jesus rose from the dead and the victory was achieved.

But the resurrection, was only the beginning for believers in Jesus by faith.

Jesus spent forty days on the earth and was seen by over 500 people, then He ascended back to Heaven with the promise that he would return for His own.

Many nations today who claim that they do not believe in God fear this statement.

DO YOU?

Acts 1:1-11.
