The Magnificat! One.

It does not have to mean the Veneration of Mary?

Evangelical and Protestant Christians get up set about this part of the Christmas story that they exclude, because of the Roman Church veneration Mary!

But this is one of those most important passages that many are missing out in relation to the virgin birth of Jesus from his Incarnate existence to  that of being human or having a human body which is maintained in Heaven for eternity with the wounds of the cross/stake/tree!

Mary is exalting God, for choosing her to be the earthly mother of the Messiah, and that she would be remembered for that role?

Luke 1:46-55,  Psalm 34:2-3,  Isaiah 12:2-3,  61:10,  Zephaniah 3:14-17.

A mothers Love?

Appreciation!

The end of this month sees another celebration of our mothers, despite the traditions and requirements of this day? We tend to forget that our mothers mostly tried to do and do continue to do the best for us?

But it us who have to return that love in our responsibility and actions is helping our parents if we can? Cleaning, caring, shopping, taking them out and returning that love which will build our relationships!

Jesus too had a mother who loved Him, she may have not full understood Him, until after the events cared? But she stayed the road with the believers who followed Him well into the establishment of the early Church!

Genesis 2:24,  3:20,   Matthew/Levi 1:18,   2:11,   Mark 7:7-11,   Acts 1:14,  Ephesians 6:2.

Crib n Cross. Part-Three.

Born of the Virgin.

It is a miracle the birth of Jesus, He God incarnate came from Heaven and was chosen to be conceived into human flesh by the Holy Spirit to a young virgin girl named Mary. The Angel Gabri'el was sent by God to tell her that she was the chosen one to bear the Messiah. Luke 1:26-35.

After Jesus was born Mary married Joseph and they went on to have normal relations and a big family. We see later on 30 years later His earthly mother coming with His brothers and sisters to get Him.  Matthew 12:46-49.

Roman Catholicism and many branches of the Christian Church venerate Mary, before Jesus and this is a false teaching. Jesus must be and is the only focus for our need to change our mental attitudes and be saved from Eternal Damnation. 1 John 5:20.

Crib n Cross. Part-Two.

Born to Die.

The story of the baby Jesus, does not end after Christmas He grows up helping His earthly father Joseph the carpenter in Nazareth. We learn from the bible that He was a perfect child. John 6:42.

But Mary still had to clean up after Him, when a babe and toddler! He stayed behind in Jerusalem talking to the teachers of the Law. Luke 2:46.

But when rebuked He obeyed his parents.  Luke 2:51.

The story of Jesus life is about doing what mum and dad needed Him to do, until His time was ready for ministry of healing and then He had to go to the Cross/stake/tree for us.  Mark 14:21.
