The land slide victory for the Republicans, like that of British Labor might ring hollow in the first one-hundred days in office, when we discover that not is all as it seems and that what was promised will have to wait!

Many of the current appointments may not be allowed to pass, since some of those called are not suitable for the roles that they have been called to and others are perhaps not in the right places, were they could be of more value?

Currently the pro-Israel lobby looks good, but with Trump being so unpredictable and want peace over conflict, he may go more so for the Arab voters and be more of a hindrance than anything else!

Has God chosen him or is this another ploy to win votes, we will have to wait and see if he really does come to faith in Jesus and be a true Christian leader and not an anti-Christ type?

Addictions? One.

Alcoholism to Narcotics!

Psychology believes that we are all addicted to something, and one supposes that why we need psychologists to deal with our addictions? 

But there is a truth in that many people struggle with being addicted to drink, smoking, gambling, narcotics and pornography!

Society shapes the sinfulness of the human heart, what was a problem one-hundred years ago is coming back to haunt many nations?

There are many words in the Holy Bible that deals with the condition of our soul and that we are in one right our own destiny by choice?

Psalm 10:3,  Proverbs 2:2,  3:5,  4:17,  23:31,  Isaiah 5:11,  Matthew 5:8, 28.  Revelation 14:8.

Many have it in this life?

These many include the many who claim to be Christians, but the reality is that they are imposters!

They are like the greedy evil people of this world who are now enjoying the fruits on the backs of others, but God is not blind and He will not be mocked when all of humanity will have to face the Judgement seat of God!

What many forget is that there is no once saved always saved and it is up to us to work out our own salvation by keeping on the path of truth!

The chasm that is in place between us and God has been filled by Jesus, since He is the only way to salvation! It is he who we must seek and who real followers must press on with daily!

Continuing to Sin.

There are many who claim a faith in God today, but they continue to live in the world, as the world. They show nothing of the New Life that they claim to have in Jesus death and resurrection for them?

God warns those who have believed and who then think that they can abuse their position with Him, will loose their salvation! The blood that Jesus spilt for us on the cross/tree/stake is very precious, it was to buy us back to God.

But if we abuse that relationship by living and continuing on in the sinful nature, we will be refused entry into His rest.

Being a born-again or convert to Christianity is all about pushing on and knowing that we have a future and are already a part of Eternity. Our calling and purpose as a believer in Jesus is to serve, to put ourselves out for others.

The bible encourages us to race on, push on, persevere for that prize, rather than to keep looking back. There is a time for reflection and it is always a good thing to do it for a while, but not to allow ourselves to dwell on it.

There are a lot of people out there, including 'Christians who do not believe in the Day of the Lord.

The mockers say' When is this Day coming, it has been a long time.

There are lots of people who think they are big, important, scary. 

They have the cars, the money the woman and men.

But God lets them know in His many ways if they come up to Him they ain't going any futher.

Our God does not allow the evil people to continue day after day, they have their times and that is it.
