LOVE!

 The key to Success?

Love solves problems wither in Ekklesia, at home, work the political word, if we know we are loved it really helps to build understanding and thus many things will get solved!

We as believers know that we love God and that He loves us, but the key is when we love others showing both concern and compassion for them as Jesus has for us?

If we had more love for others most of the problems in our world today would get solved and the power of sin in the lives of many would be stumped!

John 3:3, 14-21, Mark 10:21, Luke 7:47, Hebrews 1:9,  1 John 4:10-11.

The Joy of the Lord?

 To Have!

To believe in the death, resurrection and promised return of the Lord is one thing, but to follow Jesus is another?

To imitate, to apply Jesus actions everyday in our lives is hard and that is perhaps why many people who claim faith are unhappy, since they live as the world?

We were purchased at a heavy price and it is sad to see that many fail at this essential and simple hurdle or that they abuse the power they have been invested with!

Matthew/Levi 25:21-23,  1 Thessalonians 1:6,  Philemon 1:20.

Uncertain Times?

 COVID-19.

Many of us cannot get a test and many of us may be carrying this virus and causing mayhem?

Governments are ineffective or don't care as long as this will not come to their door, its the old old story of sin in humanity and it will always be with us!

Round two, three, four are all coming and it may last another ten years as the so called 1918 Spanish flu did, but this is five time worse and the more science learns the more things get complicated!

COVID-19 is related to several previous diseases such as AIDS and the problems are people refuse to be defiant in changing their ways, wither they call it pride or something else?

Joshua 24:19,  Job 24:13,  Psalm 106:43,  John 8:12,  2 Thessalonians 2:3,  Hebrews 3:8.

Aspects of Christmas? Three.

Debt!

Today many people in the western world are in debt and Christmas has been known to the biggest problem with the easy way to get credit!

Both the lure and the temptation to have nice things for the children and ones self is very hard to resist and thus when the time comes in six months to pay up, there is no money?

The other problem with debt, is going bankrupt, it may clear some if not all depending on the amount, but it leaves you marked as a debtor for life!

This will cause many problems for some in getting even a bank card or proper account, while also being refused a loan and many other unforeseen aspects in the financial world!

God wants us to be sensible people, trusting him rather than wanting the things of this world! One will hear many different takes on this, with some Church leaders dismissing it, as they know better? But we have really at the end of the day stay with what God wants for us and that is always the best!

Matthew 6:12,  18:24,  25:15-28,  Proverbs 22:26,  Luke 7:42.

Aspects of Christmas! Two.

Gluttony?

Most people today are overweight, fast-food has changed the world and so has cheap food in the super markets where most of the poor head for?

But we are going to talk about greed in relation to gluttony and food, and here we will deal with the rich and their plenty!

Greed is an illness in its own right of the mind and eventually of the stomach the results of being fat, but this is not always the case?

Diabetes and several other illness that lead to loss of functions result from eating too much of the wrong foods!

Greece is one of the biggest killers, all those fries and burgers, fried chicken and lack of walking with jacket potatoes, waffles, cakes, chocolate bars and so it goes on!

Christians are not exempt from the lure and temptations of nice food!

Self control is the answer to most of the problems that lead us astray at Christmas?

Genesis 29:22,  Psalm 36:8,  Ecclesiastes 10:16,  Jeremiah 51:39,  Matthew/Levi 22:2,  4,  8,   Mark 7:22,  1 Corinthians 9:25,  Galatians 5:23,   1 Peter 1:6.

Addictions? One.

Alcoholism to Narcotics!

Psychology believes that we are all addicted to something, and one supposes that why we need psychologists to deal with our addictions?

But there is a truth in that many people struggle with being addicted to drink, smoking, gambling, narcotics and pornography!

Society shapes the sinfulness of the human heart, what was a problem one-hundred years ago is coming back to haunt many nations?

There are many words in the Holy Bible that deals with the condition of our soul and that we are in one right our own destiny by choice?

Psalm 10:3,  Proverbs 2:2,  3:5,  4:17,  23:31,  Isaiah 5:11,  Matthew 5:8, 28.  Revelation 14:8.

Summer Opportunities? One.

Prayer and Witness!

This is a great time of the year to share our faith with others and also to start something new in our prayer lives?

Good weather and holidays brings people out and there is almost unlimited opportunities for us to start a conversation, make new friends and listen to others problems, before we take not and go home to pray or share with our fellowships!

We will be rejected by some, but others will want someone to listen to their situation as someone listened to ours that lead us to faith in Jesus!

Psalm 145:2,  Proverbs 15:29,  Matthew 6:1-4, 6,  Romans 12:2, 12,   Philippians 1:19,   Hebrews 10:10.

Answered Prayers!

Not to be taken Lightly!

1 Kings 8:49, Psalm 86:7, Proverbs 28:9, Matthew 6:7, Acts 2:42, 2 Corinthians 1:11, Revelation 8:3.

Many people pray and think nothing more about what they have done, some hope others do it out of ritual or traditions? But we can say it has worked after three weeks of coughing sneezing and two more weeks of other problems, we are hopefully back on form?

God says he hears us when we pray and prayer is not always hands or actions, but rather thoughts in our mind and words from our hearts!

'Oh God help, 'I'm in trouble, 'One or we cannot cope with this or that?

It is God who knows if we are genuine in what we are saying or not and He will answer us in His right timing!

New Year 2017.

Resolutions?

When we make promises to change, to loose weight, to take up a new hobby, to get out walking more, perhaps even get married? The problem is the same every year, after a few weeks we give up and go back to what we were fat, lazy, liars and ignorant of the facts of our condition?

There is as many people in the Church today, who once made a choice to follow God, they all went through the processes, said the right things? But they never really meant in their hearts, they are what the bible calls the weeds that choke the real believers?

Matthew 13:26-40, Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:4, 4:14, 1 Timothy 4:2, 1 John 4:11.

All Life Matters. Part-One.

For God so Loved the World..!

Hypocrisy is one of the biggest problems in human nature, along with embarrassment and shame. These are three of the worst and they show us up as real loser's, despite money, success and riches?

Pride is another problem that allows communities to make claims over others that they well know are not true, we are seeing this everyday right across the world.

This is why we have so many wars, local conflicts and problems. But only faith in Jesus with Integrity will help us out of this mess of sin.

Psalm 25:21, Proverbs 19:1, Matthew 23:28, Luke 9:28, John 3:15-18, James 3:17.

A Warning.

Don't be too Cool?

When we open the door to evil, it will stay with us and we will continue to have problems no matter were we go!

Admitting failure and turning from it brings humility, but also a will to learn to find a new and better way with God.

God does not give up on anyone who keeps trusting Him!

But those who continue to do evil face Judgement and Eternal separation!

Proverbs 17:13,  Psalm 35:12,  Romans 12:17.

SIN. Part-Two.

In and Out.

Food does not effect how we are, except if we make it a problem like gluttony!

What goes into our bodies is not the cause of our failure, it is rather what we say from our hearts that is sinful.

It is of our own choice that we choose to Sin, to fail so we cannot blame another for our own choices?

Matthew 15:10-11,  Mark 7:14-15.

Incest. Part-One.

Lot.

The bible is a great book to read, because it deals with all aspects of the human character and this scares many people off.

Many Christians do not like to mention these subjects that we have been covering, because they have become taboo.

But these things need to be discussed and avoided, because there are always bad out comes for our actions if they are not dealt with and sorted out.

Lot the nephew of Abraham was made drunk and silly by his daughters, who slept with him and produced children. These children later became a problem to the people of Israel in the land.

That could mean in your own life or situation families now hate you and your relatives because of this sin.

Genesis 19:31-38,  Matthew 14:3-4, 1 Corinthians 5:1.
